Mead Area Homes
Unincorporated Suburb of North Spokane
Mead is a small unincorporated community, on the north end of Spokane. Most Families seek the Mead area mainly for the schools. Mead area and the majority of North Spokane has been improved and revamped and updated. What was once rural farming communities is now suburban homesites with a mix of cul de sac laden developments and larger parceled or acreage area homes. It is a short commute to downtown. Mead Schools are ranked as some of the top schools in Spokane and you must live in the area for your child to attend these schools typically. The good news is that many communities are part of the mead school district. You can enjoy close proximity to the freeway, shopping, area activities such as skiing, lakes, parks, shopping, golf, fishing, the boys and girls club (great after school program and summer program available) http://www.bgca.org
You might also enjoy visiting cat tales zoological park one of the most renowned large cat zoological training centers. http://www.cattales.org
About Our Homes
So close to many points of area recreation
Every type of home is a possibility- Whether you want to customize a new home in an existing development or you want to buy a home that is already established. If you want a home with a little elbow room or neighbors next door. It can be achieved. There are all styles from Rancher to Craftsman. A lot less rancher or one level plans than in the south because we have basements here. A lot of my southern clients or California Clients are surprised to know that not everything is on one level typically in most of our Spokane area homes. We do not have earthquakes, and ground water is not a factor for why a person wouldn’t have a basement. Sometimes our basements are walk out daylit basements that include a lower patio out to backyard or they are the typical basements you would expect. In Washington for the basement bedrooms or rooms to count as bedrooms they must be egress which means access to get out of the room from the window if necessary. So rarely will you see rooms without windows or just little portholes.
So much nature!
I especially love helping people find homes in the north Spokane area. One minute you are in the city and the next you are surrounded by pine trees, mountain views, lakes, birds chirping in the trees and you might see wild turkeys, deer and many other endearing picturesque adventures on your journey. Many of the homes I sell or show in the area have been built by local builders and most are established floor plans to suit the needs of modern families.
Whether you dream of buying a home in this area or selling a home here, I have you covered.
What kind of activities could your kids enjoy, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Youth League Soccer, Baseball, High School Sports and our local STEM school Riverpoint Academy for those of you wanting an alternative focus on your children’s education. http://riverpoint.mead354.org/
Churches: Whatever your denomination, there are many available options in the area.
Colleges, We are home of the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Whitworth Pirates, two community colleges, Spokane Falls Community College and Spokane Community College
One of the questions I get asked a lot in this area is…do you have internet? Yes, we have local cable which is Comcast and then we have multiple other companies like Direct TV, Dish Network etc.
